The Health inspectorate was grounded on 1 October 2007 reposing on order No. 432 of the Cabinet of Ministers of 11 July 2007 “About Health Care Quality Control inspectorate, State Pharmacy inspectorate and State Sanitary inspectorate reorganization and establishment of Health inspectorate”.
In year 2009 to the Health Inspectorate were added part of functions from four reorganized institutions: Health Compulsory Insurance State Agency, Health Statistics and Medicine Technology State Agency, Society State Agency and Medical Professional Education Centre.
